North America’s largest auto show is back! Exhibitions include: multiple world and North American introductions; a complete range of domestic and imported passenger cars and trucks; sport utility vehicles; and experimental or concept cars. Such an exciting event, we absolutely don’t want you to miss it! Auto Show visitors who park at Millennium Park Garage will be provided with shuttle service to and from McCormick Place and also receive a $9 off validation to be used (along with their original ticket) upon their exit from the garage. The discount validations are good only for the weekend dates of February 11th, 12th, 18th and 19th! (See shuttle drop-off and pick-up times below.) Shuttles will pick up patrons up at the Randolph Street side of Millennium Park Garage and drop customers off at the McCormick Place South Hall /Gate #3 to get you right to your destination.

In total, nearly 1,000 different vehicles will be on display. Additionally, attendees will also have the opportunity to see numerous accessories and auto-related exhibits, competition vehicles and project, antique and collector cars. The show runs from February 10th-18th: 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. and February 19th: 10 a.m. to 8 p.m at the McCormick Place, 2301 S. Lake Shore Drive, Chicago, IL 60616.

Theatre
Chicago offers many live theatre shows in the winter time. Vitalist Theatre presents the Chicago premiere of The Ghost is Here by Kobo Abe. The show lasts from January 12, 2012 – February 19, 2012 in Millennium Park. The DCA Theater Incubator Series features Prologue Theatre Company presenting new work development. This is on Jan 30, 2012 at the Chicago Cultural Center.
Film
Are you a film buff? If so, Chicago is offering free admission to the film “Daisy Bates: First Lady of Little Rock”. The showing will be Jan. 21, 2012 at the Chicago Cultural Center. There is free admission.

Come out and listen to a Chicago concert this winter. There are many musical concerts happening this winter at the Chicago cultural center.
Dame Myra Hess Memorial is having four concerts during the month of January. The concerts are organized by the International Music Foundation, and features solo and ensemble classical music performed by emerging artists. Concerts are broadcast live on WFMT 98.7 fm and streamed live on www.wfmt.com. All of the concerts are free admission.

If you want to listen to music from South America, attend the Young People’s Concerts: Ondas Ensemble. The Ondas Ensemble will perform music from countries such as Argentina and Brazil. The concerts are designed for CPS school group grades K-6. Admission is free but reservations are needed.
