Now in its 16th season, skating at the iconic McCormick Tribune Ice Rink in Millennium Park is a must-stop winter tradition for Chicagoans and visitors alike, drawing over 100,000 skaters annually.
Skating at the rink is free and open to the public. Free skating lessons are offered Friday – Sunday one hour before the rink opens. Additionally, lessons and special programming (including speed skating demos, Noodle Hockey and ice dance demos) will be offered during Chicago Public School’s Winter Break, December 24 – January 8, one hour before the rink opens.
If you want to take a break and warm up you can stop at the Park Grille Cafe for a snack and some hot chocolate.

When and Where
The rink at Millennium Park opens at noon on November 18th and the fun continues through March 5th. Plan ahead and reserve your parking spot now to enjoy the winter fun!!
