This weekend, the fun and uplifting Chicago Gospel Music Festival is coming to Millenium Park. Partnering with local churches, the festival will take place Thursday, June 21, at the Jay Pritzker Pavillion and Friday, June 22, at the Chicago Cultural Center across the street. On Saturday, June 23 and Sunday, June 24, the festivities continue, moving to Ellis Park in Bronzeville.
Open to everyone, the free weekend of music and gospel will include performances by JC Brooks & The Uptown Sound and Light of Love among others, as well as a special screening and discussion with famed director George T. Hammond will be Saturday’s headliner, appearing on the main stage at Ellis Park.
